July 15-26, 2005

Directors:

George Perko, CPA, MBA

For millennia humans have been sailing the Aegean. Archaeological discoveries have brought to light lost towns, like Acrotiri on Thera destroy in the eruption of the heart of the island. The remains of shipwrecks have been discovered beneath the sea, documenting the goods being traded. The ancients Greeks and Romans in their myths created stories that describe some of these voyages. Three of the most famous heroes to sail these waters were Odysseus, on his way home from Troy, Jason, as he sought the Golden Fleece, and Aeneas, on his way to found Rome. This study tour will help to bring alive the adventures of these heroes as we in our own voyage sail from island to island.
